RE: My gas just dropped over 40 cents per gallon!

Here in Southwest PA, the Giant Eagle and Shop N Save each have a program that for every $50 that you spend, you get 10 cents off a gallon of gas up to 30 gallons. Last time we filled up we spent 89 cents a gallon!

RE: TAKE NOTE!! Jackson/Snake River KOA- Wyoming

I don't know if it would do any good, but if you have internet access you might want to show the manager this forum. Mention the number of members and tell him we all read everyone else's reviews!

RE: Trouble for RV industry!

That's pretty sobering. I never see more than 5 RVs on the road around here when we go somewhere. We're planning a trip to Nashville in 2 weeks and I hope the campground looks like normal.

RE: Ft. Wilderness Info Please!

Thanks to all for the info. Everyone I talk to that has been there has nothing but good things to say. I heard that someone called AAA to arrange a trip in Sept. and he got a free meal ticket for a week! I assume he's staying at one of the hotels. Well, I'm getting psyched!

RE: Washing the Rig...

We just used the Mr. Clean system to wash the C. It's a unit that screws onto the hose. There's a cartridge with soap and a special filter that cuts the minerals and such when you rinse. You stil have to sponge the rig when it's soapy but after you rinse, there's no spots!

RE: So frustrating!

I think everyone has been thru some type of frustrating "non" service. I totally agree that Forest River should be bending over backwards to get your unit delivered, especially in these current economic times. The only thing I can say is this time will be relatively short and you will barely remember it after enjoying your camper a few times.

Power while driving

I guess this is a stupid question and I feel bad for not knowing. If your RV has a battery, and you want to plug something in while you are driving, such as DVD player, crock pot, toaster oven etc. will it work or do you have to turn generator on? Thank you very much.

RE: Fresh Water Tank

We drink bottled water and just use the tank for showers and dishes. I think it's OK and "greener" not to drain. I always like to add a couple drops of bleach to the tank.

If you trust him, it should be alright. If they like it, maybe they'll get their own.

RE: electric brakes

I'm sorry, I don't know much about this subject. I think they might be called trailer brakes. It's a xterra (V6) pulling a one ton PUP.

Now, I'm a PUP newbie. Do you need electric brakes for a 10ft PUP? Thanks!

RE: moving to HTT.

We started with a starcraft 21sso hybrid and moved to a class C. Today I bought a used PUP. For the weight, I would rather pull the PUP.

RE: Is Downsizing really do-able?

Well, instead of getting a B, I got a used PUP. The cost difference was huge, even for a used B unit. I'm happy with the decision as we will have a vehicle when we get to campground. Thanks for all your help. I can see us getting a B maybe in the future.
